Cheetah APTMM2B Instructions

Gone are the giant wood-paneled televisions of a previous age, replaced with relatively lightweight, flat sets that can mount against a wall. Like any large and expensive object, wall-mounting can introduce danger not only to the object, but also the wall on which it is installed. CheetahMounts produces the APTMM2B wall mount, designed to handle a variety of flat-panel television models with a maximum of safety and in a minimum of space. You can install your APTMM2B wall mount with some basic hanging techniques in a few steps.

Things You'll Need

  • CheetahMounts APTMM2B wall mount
  • Screwdriver set
  • Power drill
  • Drill bit set
  • Hammer
  • Driver bit set
  • Flat-panel television
  • Lay the upper and lower support bars on your work surface, so the small, circular mounting holes on each face each other.

  • Arrange the side brackets so their bolt holes match the holes in the inner side of each support bar, near the ends.

  • Insert the included screws through the outside of the support arms and into each of the four screw holes in the side brackets.

  • Tighten the four side bracket screws in place with a screwdriver.

  • Hold the assembled wall bracket against the wall in the desired position and mark the nine mounting screw holes against the wall. Use the built-in bubble level to ensure the bracket is even against the wall.

  • Drill pilot holes into the marked holes with a power drill using a drill bit slightly smaller than the included drywall anchors.

  • Tap the included drywall anchors into the pilot holes with a hammer.

  • Hold the assembled bracket in place against the wall and drive the included mounting screws into the drywall anchors with a power drill and driver bit.

  • Rotate the hooks on the television brackets until the hooks line up with the tracks cut into the sides of the brackets.

  • Insert one of the included screws into the inner side of the hook, through the bracket and out the other side.

  • Hold the locking knob in place on the opposite side and drive the screw into the knob with a screwdriver. Repeat this process with the locking knob on the remaining bracket.

  • Line the two television brackets up with the mounting screw holes in the back of your television set and screw them in place with a screwdriver.

  • Line the television bracket hooks up with the upper rail of the wall bracket and release the television so it hangs in place.

  • Pull the television outward to angle the screen downward or push it toward the wall to angle the screen upward.

  • Tighten both the locking knobs in place once you have set the desired screen angle.

  • Insert a screw through each of the screw holes in the bottom of each of the television brackets and tighten them against the lower support bar with a screwdriver.
