How to Install Saitek X52 Pro on Linux

The Saitek X52 Pro Flight System Linux files are not installed in the way that a Windows application would be installed. Instead you must install the Saitek X52 Pro Flight System drivers in the command line building from the library source. Most Linux and Unix applications are based on a library source file, which you build, compile and then install from.

Instructions

    • 1

Download "x52pro-0.1.1.tar.gz" from the x52 PRO Linux library source site (see Resources) to your root folder.

    • 2

Type "tar xzvf x52pro-0.1.1.tar.gz" and press "Enter."

    • 3

Type "cd x52pro-0.1.1" and press "Enter."

    • 4

Type "./configure" and press "Enter." Type "make" and press "Enter."

    • 5

Type "make install" and press "Enter."
