How to Upload Pictures From a Disconnected Phone

Save

If your mobile phone service is disconnected, you can still upload pictures from your phone. Using your phone's mass storage capabilities, you can turn your phone into a removable device. You can use a USB cable to establish a connection between your disconnected phone and a computer. Use newly-established connection instead of your phone's data connection to upload pictures.

Things You'll Need

  • USB cable
  • Connect your mobile phone to the computer with a USB cable.

  • Press "USB Storage" or "USB Drive" on your phone when prompted.

  • Click "Start" on the computer, then click "Computer."

  • Double-click the phone's icon, then double-click "Media Card." Open the "Pictures" folder to view the pictures stored on your phone's media card.

  • Open the folder that you plan to use to store the uploaded pictures. For example, you can open the "Pictures" folder in "My Documents" to store the pictures.

  • Drag the pictures to the computer folder and release them. The pictures will be uploaded to the computer from the disconnected phone.
