Indesign to Photoshop Conversion
Adobe InDesign is one of the premier desktop publishing programs available, used by many magazines and newspapers for layout purposes. Converting an InDesign document into PSD -- the Photoshop format -- is a challenging proposition, especially when you consider the equal conversion of InDesign layers into Photoshop layers. Since InDesign documents are often made up of text, you have to resign yourself to having that text changed into a raster image, as well.

Tips & Warnings
The difficulty in exporting the InDesign document to Photoshop is the loss of the layers. You can export the InDesign document layer by layer if you deselect all the layers but one before each export; then you can "Open As" each PDF in Photoshop and insert each as its own layer there. However, you would then face the difficulty of erasing all the added white space, or masking it away.
