If you sing slightly off-key, your microphone may not be able to correct that problem; Auto-Tune by Antares Audio Technology can. This pitch correction program works with your existing recording software to detect off-key pitches and to correct them automatically. If you have a digital audio workstation or recording software that works with effects plugins, download a free Auto-Tune demo and test it with your microphone.
Visit the Auto-Tune download Web page. This page contains downloadable demos of their products. "Auto-Tune Evo" is the product that will help you automatically tune your voice and correct pitch problems as you record using your recording software.
Enter your email address in the "Email Address" text box, and review the paragraph appearing below that text box. The paragraph explains its offer to email you product announcements, special offers and news about their software. If you wish to receive this information, click the "Yes" radio button below that paragraph. Otherwise, click the "No" radio button.
Click "Where Do You Live" drop-down box, and then click your country.
Click the "Product to Download" drop-down box to view a list of products.
Locate the "Auto-Tune Evo" item and click it. Click the "Computer Platform" drop-down menu to display a list of operating systems. Click the operating system that matches the one you use.
Click the "Format" drop-down box to view the available plugin formats: "RTAS," "VSTS" and "Audio Units."
Click the option that supports the audio software you use for recording. For instance, if you use a recording program such as "Sonar" -- which supports VST plugins -- click "VST." If you do not know which format your software supports, consult the help that comes with your program.
