How to Promote Someone to Guild Leader in "World of Warcraft"

A guild leader in "World of Warcraft" can promote someone else to take her place or to hold the position temporarily. For example, if the guild leader goes on vacation, she might hand over the controls while she's gone. The guild leader has complete control over the bank and guild controls, so must therefore be an active player. Guild leaders typically promote high-ranking officers in the guild, usually a person everyone trusts.

Instructions

1. Open the Guild menu on the main action bar.

2. Click on the name of the person you want to promote to guild leader.

3. Click the promotion button to increase the player's rank to Guild Leader or type "/gpromote username" and "Enter." Do not type the quotation marks.

Tips & Warnings

• Only promote someone you trust to guild leader. This person can pull all the money and items from the guild bank.
