Instructions

    • 1

Buzz the hairs of your beard with electric clippers, trimming the hairs down to the desired depth of your beard.

    • 2

Wash the skin on your face with warm, soapy water prior to shaving.

    • 3

Apply shaving cream to your chin and cheeks.

    • 4

Wipe off shaving cream with your finger to remove cream from any areas your chin strap will cover, including the sideburns. A standard chin strip runs from one sideburn down to the jaw line, under the front of the chin and back up to the other sideburn.

    • 5

Shave away the shaving cream-covered areas, starting at the edge of the cream and shaving up the cheek.

    • 6

Clean off any excess shaving cream and dry your face.

    • 7

Touch up the beard using a pair of electric clippers with no guide to narrow the strap, or straighten the lines, if needed.
