1
Wash, condition and towel-dry hair. Detangle using comb, part hair in four sections and pin with hair clips.

2
Remove one hair clip at a time, beginning with back section. Start at the end of the hair, working toward the sides. Hold scissors at a 45 degree angle. At the nape of the neck cut hair down very low so that it lays flat against head, this will be the shortest part of your hair. Begin cutting hair in a straight pattern. This will make your bob straight and short. Continue this pattern moving from section to section. As you move towards the front, keep hair longer to form the signature bob cut, long in the front and short in the back.

3
Hold medium sections of hair in your hand and cut in a feathering pattern. Cutting hair in this manner feathers the hair, making it fall evenly. This complements your straight, short bob haircut.
-
4
Make one final cut of your straight bob by going across the hair, ear to ear. Make sure your ends are even and flat. Repeat this step from the top of head to nape of the neck.
-
5
Comb hair straight down. Using a flat iron on a medium-heat setting, flat iron your hair straight. Add hair polisher to give your straight, short bob a finished shine.
