How to Delete a Handle on Craigslist

Craigslist allows anyone to create online classified ads free. You can register for an account to make a posting. A handle, also called an email address, is used to create the account and send notifications, such as responses to an classified ad. You may wish to delete your email address in your account if you begin to receive too much junk mail or no longer use the email. Deleting a handle requires you to enter a new one in your account.

Instructions

1. Log into your Craigslist account.

2. Click the "Settings" link from the top left of the page.

3. Click the "Change" link to the right of your email address.

4. Type the new email address in the "New Email Address" field.

5. Type the new email address a second time in the "Retype New Email Address" field.

6. Click the "Submit New Email Address" button.
