How to Make My Own Virtual Clothes
Dress-up is a favorite game for many young girls and, for some, a love for fashion and clothing design persists throughout childhood and into young adulthood. If you love fashion and want to design your own clothes but don't know where to start, try designing virtual clothes online. Designing virtual clothes is a free and easy way to experiment with new fashion trends and to learn who you are as a designer. Log on to Girl Sense. If you already have a Girl Sense account, log in. If you do not have an account, register for free by typing in your desired online name, your password, and email information. Once you have registered and signed in, return to the homepage.

Click on the pink "Design Fashions" button on the left side of the screen; wait for the designer studio to load then click on the type of clothing you want to design. Select from a choice of tops, outerwear, dresses, pants, skirts and swimwear.

View the selection of available clothing items in your chosen category by scrolling up and down on the right side of the screen. When you see the piece of clothing you'd like to work with, click on it to place it on your model.

Customize the size, color and orientation of each item you plan to add to your piece of clothing in the Controller tab on the right side of the screen before clicking on your clothing to place the item. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to change the size, the round arrows to rotate the item and the double arrows to flip the item. Slide the color bars to change the color or opacity of the item.

Select a fabric for your item of virtual clothing by selecting one of the options from the fabrics tab that pops up on the left side of the screen. There are four tabs of different types of fabric and each tab offers a variety of choices. Select your favorite fabric then click on the clothing item where you'd like to use that fabric.

Add shapes, marks, stitches and decorations by clicking on the corresponding icons on the left side of the screen then choosing from the available options.

Cut out pieces of your clothing item by clicking on the "Scissors" icon on the toolbar. Click on the clothing item where you'd like to begin the cut then drag and click the mouse to create the desired shape of the cutout. Double click to complete the cut. You may also shaped cutouts by clicking on the cutouts icon, the bottom icon on the left side of the screen.

Add text to your design by clicking on the "Text" icon on the left side of the screen then select a font. Type the desired text into the blue text box on the toolbar then click the desired position on the clothing item to place the text. You may manipulate the size, color and orientation of the text in the Controller tab before placing it.

Add buttons to your clothing item, if you desire, by clicking on the "Button" icon on the left side of the screen. View the available options then select your favorite and click on the clothing item to place them.

Save your completed design by clicking on the blue "Save" button in the bottom right corner. You may type in a description and set a price if you'd like to sell the item in your boutique.

Tips & Warnings
At any time during the design process you may delete an item you have added by clicking on the item then clicking on the "Delete" button that appears in the Controller tab. You may also click the "X" button on the toolbar then click on the item you want to remove.
Zoom in and out to view certain parts of your clothing item up close by dragging the blue button in the center of the bottom of the screen to the left and right. Dragging to the right will make the view zoom in and dragging to the left will zoom out.
Once you have finished your design, try again with a different clothing item. Build up an inventory of different styles and items in your boutique and sell them for Girl Sense currency.
