How to Apply Your Employee Discount for Walmart at the Checkout
All Walmart associates are given a discount card to be used at any Walmart in the country. The card offers a 10 percent discount on all non-food items. In an effort to support healthier eating, Walmart also offers employees a discount on fresh produce. Discount cards can be used by the employee or his family -- letting a friend receive a discount is grounds for termination from the company. All discounted or sale items are exempt from the 10 percent discount.

Place your items on the belt to be scanned by the cashier.

Give the cashier any coupons you'd like to use with the transaction.

Tell the cashier you have an employee discount card, so she can press the appropriate button on her register.

Slide your employee discount card through the debit card machine with the magnetic strip facing to your left. There is no need to enter a password or code; your discount will automatically be applied.

Pay for your purchase with debit, credit, check or cash.
