Enter a real money cash game or tournament from the PokerStars lobby to earn VIP Player Points (VPPs). In cash games, you are awarded VIP Player Points every time you are dealt into a hand, regardless of whether or not you win. The higher the rake of the hand, the more VPPs are awarded. In tournaments, you are awarded based on the buy-in of the tournament. (See Reference 1)

Accumulate 750 VPPs in a month to earn your first star and a VIP ranking of SilverStar. This will take approximately 11 hours per week of playing $1/2 NL cash games, or 1 multi-table tournament per day with an average buy-in of $50.
