Princess TIana is the heroine of the Disney film "The Princess and the Frog." The movie is a class fairytale story, and your little girl may start begging to dress up as the pretty princess. Not to worry, since with a little patience, you can make a homemade Princess Tiana costume using just a few basic supplies and materials. The most important thing to remember is that the princess wears a green dress, which you can accomplish with a bit of fabric dye.

1
Find a long, full skirt with an elastic waist, like a petticoat. Find a light-colored leotard as well. Check vintage or thrift shops for the pieces.
-
2
Make a dye bath using a box of green dye and a bucket of water. Submerge the skirt and leotard in the dye bath for one hour, then remove the clothes and rinse out in a sink or tub. Hang up to dry.

3
Cut a piece of green tulle from a fabric store, so the piece is about 1 yard long. Bunch up the tulle to make it narrow and attach each end to the front top of the skirt, using a hot glue gun, so the tulle wraps around the skirt making a bustle.
-
4
Cut two pieces of green tulle to about 1 foot each. Attach each end of one piece to the bottom center of the leotard sleeve, using a hot glue gun to secure them right at the armpit, so the tulle will hang over your shoulder when you wear the leotard. Repeat at the other sleeve.

5
Wear the leotard and pull the skirt over the leotard to make the full dress.
