  1. Windows Server

    • 1

      Download the Parallels Installer utility for your Windows server (see Resources) and save it on your server's hard drive. Run the installer by double-clicking on the plesksetup.exe file located on the server's hard drive. A new window will pop up asking you to select the language for the installation wizard.

      Log in to the user interface with your administrator's user name and password. Click "Install or Upgrade Product" and then select Plesk and Panel 10 from the available options.

      Select the installation type you desire -- typical, full or custom. Specify the new administrator password and then click "Continue." Initialize the panel once installation is complete.

    Linux Server

      Download the Parallels Installer utility for your Linux server (see Resources) and then save it on your server's hard drive. Open the Linux command line prompt and alter the execution permission for the installer by typing the command string: "chmod +x parallels_products_installer_file_name" and then press "Enter".

      Insert the command string "./parallels_products_installer_file_name" into the Linux command line prompt to run the installer. Read the installation notes that appear, pressing "N" to move to the next screen, and then press "Enter." Leave the distribution server set to the official server. Press "N" to scroll and then press "Enter."

      Locate Plesk Panel 10 on the numbered list, type that number and press "Enter." Move past the next screen by typing "N" and then press "Enter" to continue. Select the installation level you desire -- typical, full or custom. Confirm the installation by pressing "N" and then "Enter"; this will cause the packet to download and install.
