How to Check My Email Address on Facebook

You email addresses may be displayed on your profile, or kept hidden.

Once you choose a username on Facebook, which appears at the end of your unique URL, you may use it to log in to the site in lieu of your email. After a while, you might forget which email address is on file with Facebook. To view the email address or addresses associated with your account, visit the "Account Settings" page. From there, it is also possible to make alterations to your email addresses.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Account" link, located in the blue banner at the top of every Facebook screen. Select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.

2. Go to the "Settings" tab. Your primary email address, the one Facebook uses to contact you, is listed in the "Email" section of the page.

3. Click the "Change" link in the "Email" section to see a full list of the email addresses Facebook has on file for you.

4. Remove an email address by clicking the blue "Remove" link next to an email. Note however, that before you can remove your primary email address you must first supply Facebook with another one. Change your primary email address by either clicking the circle next to an email address Facebook already has on file, or entering a new one in the "New Contact Email" field.

Tips & Warnings

• Use the "Privacy Settings" menu to assign a privacy level to each email address you give to Facebook. Email addresses may be hidden from everyone but you, or displayed on your profile so that contacts are able to view them.
