Avery Dennison has created templates that can help you format Avery card products in common word processing and photo editing suites like Microsoft Word and Adobe Photoshop. The templates can be blank, or pre-designed, and just need opening, formatting and printing. Templates are available for business cards, thank-you cards, birthday greetings and more.
Find an Avery template that is designed for use with the Avery product you are using by entering the product code on the Avery Templates website. The product code is found on the packaging.
Download the template that most suitably describes the card that you’d like to produce. For example, an invitation note card Microsoft Word template for Avery Product 3268. Download the template by clicking on “Download.” A separate window will open and the template will download to your computer’s “Download” folder if you choose “Save.”
Open the file in the software that you’ve chosen to use. For example, in Microsoft Word, choose “File” and then navigate to the file location. Begin typing the information into the template. You should see gridlines, but if you don’t, choose “Table Tools,” then “Layout” and then “Gridlines.” If you see dummy text and images, you can replace the text with your own.
Save the file using the “Save As” option and give the file a unique name. Load the Avery card stock into your printer and use the printer functions for the file by choosing “File” and then “Print.” Print some test cards. When you get the results that you want, print the final batch of cards.
