How to Block "World of Warcraft" on a Router

Save

"World of Warcraft" ("WoW") is an online, multi-player role-playing game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. Users can spend a lot of time playing the game as well as spend a monthly fee to play. This can leave you with little time to do anything else in your life. If you wish to stop someone from playing "WoW," you can block the required port on your router so he is unable to access the program online.

  • Open up the Internet browser on your program. Click on the address bar at the top of the window.

  • Type "192.168.0.1" into the address bar and press "Enter."

  • Type in your username and password for the router. If you have not set a different password and username, they will most likely both be "admin."

  • Select the "Advanced Settings" on your router to access the ports. Select "Access Restrictions" and then choose "Internet Access."

  • Type "3724" into one of the ports and select the option to block the port. Click on the "Save" button to save the changes. You will now be unable to access "World of Warcraft."
