How to Make "Team Fortress 2" Not Full Screen

"Team Fortress 2" is a multi-player first-person shooter game developed by Valve Corporation for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Distributed on the PC through the Steam system, a digital distribution and rights management platform, players can manage properties and settings for games in their libraries through the Steam client, including the mode and resolution of the game window. The "windowed" setting provides "Team Fortress 2" players an alternative to full-screen mode.

  • Launch your Steam client and log in to your account with your user name and password.

  • Click on "Library" at the top of the Steam window and select the "Games" option underneath it to view your game library. Scroll down to the listing for "Team Fortress 2" and right-click on it.

  • Select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. In the "Properties" window, click on "Set Launch Options." Click inside the text field in the "Launch Options" window and type "-windowed" inside. If you prefer to have windowed gameplay with no border around the game window, type, "-windowed -noborder" in the text field.

  • Launch "Team Fortress 2." The game will now run inside a window that you can resize by clicking and dragging the window's corners.
