How to Do a Curly Bob Sew In
A bob is a classic, timeless style that features well-manicured hair and is suitable for wear by children and adults. Sew-in weaves allow variation to the style with options for hair color and texture. Women with short hair can sew in a long bob weave, and women with long hair can do the opposite for short, flirty fun. Curly bobs cut for a stacked or graduated appearance require that the ends be cut at different lengths to add volume and reduce width. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need

1
Buy weave hair that is approximately the length that you want your bob. A full head of hair requires approximately three packs of hair.
-
2
Create a foundation for your weave. Part your natural hair straight down the middle from the forehead back. Cornrow each side of your hair in a circular pattern. Space the braids close together, leaving little visible scalp in between.

-
3
Thread your needle.

4
Pull out a weft of weave. Start to sew at the back of the head. Follow the curvature of the head. If you want your bob to be short, start to sew in on a braid that is approximately an inch above the nape of the neck. Make sure that your curly weave hair will adequately conceal the braid or braids underneath.
-
5
Sew the first weft in from behind the left ear around to the front of the head. Stop the weave in the middle of the forehead where your part is that separates the two sides of the head. Your braid foundation stops at this part as well.
-
6
Continue the left-ear-to-forehead weaving pattern until the entire back of the head is covered. When only the top of the head has visible braids left, start a new weaving pattern.
-
7
Begin a new pattern by weaving another weft just above your last weft on the same braid. Start this track above the right ear, not at the forehead. If you start the new weave pattern at the forehead, the hair in your face will be unusually thick and obstruct your vision.
-
8
Weave your new pattern from above the right ear right around to the left side of your head. The first weft will end above your left ear. Continue succeeding wefts in this same pattern until the last weft meets the second part on your forehead.

Tips & Warnings
As an option, use a razor comb to cut the weave into an asymmetrical shape with the back visibly shorter than the sides.
For stacked asymmetry, cut each layer of weave shorter as you go up from the nape.
Taper the back with the short side of your razor comb for a close-to-the-nape appearance in the back.
If you decide to taper, be extra careful not to cut too close to the nape if you started your weave two or three braids above the nape.
