How to Draw a Lion Step by Step

Any artist can create a wonderful piece of work when following step-by-step instructions.

Lion's are known as the king of the jungle because of their strength, power and regal appearance. Lion's have long been a favorite subject for artists to draw. When drawing simple objects like animals, step-by-step instructions can allow even a beginning artist to create a wonderful finished piece.

Instructions

1. Draw the nose and mouth side profile.

2. Add the mane on the top and extend beyond the back of the head.

3. Draw the back of the lion extending out beyond the mane.

4. Draw the lion's front and back legs on one side.

5. Connect the stomach between the legs, and add the tail to the back of the rear leg.

6. Add the second set of front and back legs on the lion.

7. Complete the ears and eyes and any additional details you would like to include.
