How to Draw Carrying Tubes

Draw a carrying tube using these simple steps.

Carrying tubes are useful tools for transporting goods from one place to another. Carrying tubes can be used to shelter and transport art, equipment and important documents. If you are drawing a character or a messenger and would like that person to have a carrying tube, use this simple design to create a realistic representation of the tube. Instructions

1. Draw the main cylindrical body of the carrying tube. Draw a cylinder by sketching out two equally-sized circles. Connect the circles with a set of parallel lines.

2. Add the carrying tube's end caps. Draw a cylinder on each end of the carrying tube's main body. The cylinders should be slightly wider than the main body of the tube.

3. Add hooks on each end of the carrying tube. Draw a circle on each end of the tube. Sketch a smaller circle in the center of each.

4. Draw the carrying tube's straps. Draw two curved parallel lines that extend from one end of the carrying tube to the other. Narrow the straps at each end to show that they are connected to the hooks.

5. Trace over the drawing in ink. Add details to the carrying tube, such as stickers, names or information about its contents.
