How to See Craigslist Ads That Have Been Removed
Posts that expire are automatically removed by Craigslist within 7 to 30 days, depending on the posting's original category. Big city classifieds, such as Boston, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco area listings, are removed from Craigslist after seven days of exposure. Listings in smaller cities or job-, gig- and resume listings may remain active for up to 45 days. Nevertheless, you can review the removed listing from the account used to post it. All Craigslist account holders can see their expired ads from their account page.

1
Log in to Craigslist with the email address and password associated with the account used when you created the Craigslist ads. Visit accounts.craigslist.org to view the "Account Log In" page, then click the "Log In" button after entering your account information.

2
Specify a date range if the removed Craigslist posting doesn't appear on your account home page. Craigslist allows you to search for the ads by date range. Enter the days, months and years that will capture the ads that you're looking for. Then click "Search For Posts." You may recover a range of up to 180 days worth of ads in a single search.

Click the "Manage" link within the removed ad's row to view the ad's contents. If the removed ad expired from Craigslist, you will see the entire ad, along with the words "This posting has expired from Craigslist." Ads removed after expiring may be edited and posted again by clicking the "Repost This Posting" button. Ads removed by Craigslist community flagging are visible but ineligible for reposting.
