How to Edit Letters on a Banner
You can edit letters on a banner using the original image or by downloading a copy from the website. Editing letters on a banner can be done with a few tricks which will allow you to edit a typo, change a font, renew the website's brand, or just be more aesthetically pleasing to your readers.

- Photo editing software
- Original image or downloaded copy
- Knowledge of text tool
- Knowledge of eraser tool
- Knowledge of color picker tool

Editing Letters on a Banner's Original Image

Open the banner that you want to edit. Open the original image file in your photo editor.

Use the correct tools to edit the image. Click on the "Text" tool, which looks like a T.

Select the text that you want to edit and make the appropriate changes and then save the image.

Upload the new banner to your website and preview in your browser.

Download the image from the Internet if you do not have the original copy. Download the image from the Internet onto your computer. Select the image, right click and then select "Save Image As."

Open it in your photo editing program.

The color picker tool is necessary to match the background. Select the "Color Picker" tool and hover over the background color of the banner. Right click to select the color to the "Eraser" tool.

The eraser tool will create a clear canvas. Select the "Eraser" tool.

Erase the entire word or words that have the letters you want to change on the banner.

Select the "Text" tool.

Click on the banner where you want to insert your new text. Write the new text that you want to appear on the banner.

Save the image and then upload it onto your website. Make sure to save the image as a .jpg or .gif.

Preview the new banner on your website.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using Photoshop, save the image as a .jpg or .gif. Photoshop always saves as a PSD file first which cannot be uploaded to a website.
Always use the original file if you have access to it.
If using the original file, make a copy of it before changing it. If you make a mistake, then the original image will be spared.
