How to Save & Play a Music Video from YouTube

You can use a third-party service to load videos to your computer.

While music videos are easy to find and watch on YouTube, they're not so easily saved to your computer. YouTube does not offer this functionality as of 2011; however, some third-party sites will allow you to download the video to your computer. The process is quite simple and can be accomplished in just a few minutes' time.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the YouTube video you want to save. Copy the URL that appears in the browser window.

2. Navigate to a YouTube download site, such as SaveTube, KeepVid or Save YouTube. Copy the URL into the "URL" box," then click "Download."

3. Click "Allow" if a Java applet appears requesting access to your computer.

4. Click your preferred video file type under the name of the video you are saving. This will begin the download process for the video.

5. Open your "Downloads" folder and double-click the name of the video you just saved. The video should now open in your media player and begin to play.
