How to Speed up Antares Autotune

Speed up Autotune's response in order to create a robotic-type effect on your vocals. The Antares Autotune pitch-correction plugin is widely used for correcting minor pitch imperfections in tracks made within digital audio workstations. Although setting Autotune to respond in less time will cause the audio to sound less natural, the robotic effect can be achieved as an exchange. Speed up Antares Autotune for faster response by tweaking the right parameters in less than two minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open an instance of Autotune by adding it to a vocal track with your recording (DAW) software. Refer to your Digital Audio Workstation's user manual for specific instructions on how to load VST plugins onto mixer tracks, since the method varies by software designer.

    • 2

Click the "Retune" slider and increase it to its maximum setting. This tells Autotune to correct the pitch of the audio in the fastest time possible, creating a digital-sounding effect.

    • 3

Click the Vibrato "Rate" slider and move it upward. This will increase the speed of the vibrato tbeing added to the signal being processed.

    • 4

Move the Vibrato "Delay" slider downward to increase the onset speed of the effect. Moving the slider in the opposite direction increases the amount of time before applying the Vibrato effect to the processed audio signal.
