How to Disable Google Voice SMS Texts

Google Voice, a phone forwarding VoIP service from Google, allows you to forward phone calls and SMS messages to any phone you register with the site. Google Voice SMS messages can be disabled, however, if you don't want the text messages to be received by a certain phone.       Sign in to your Google Voice account at Google.com/voice.

      Click the gear icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen and, from the drop-down menu, select "Voice settings."

      Open the settings page for the phone you want to disable SMS forwarding to by clicking the "Edit" button.

      Remove the check box next to the label that says "Receive text messages on this phone."

      Click the "Save" button. You will no longer have Google Voice SMS messages forwarded to this phone.
