How to Defeat Long Gui
Long Gui has the highest health of any enemy in "Final Fantasy XIII." He also has attacks that can hit your entire party. Long Gui shows up after you complete 62 missions. He replaces all of the Admantortoise and most of the Admantoise that wander Gran Pulse. Sazh is the best choice of party leader against Long Gui. Each character is assigned a paradigm that describes his role. Sazh needs to start as a Synergist, Vanille as a Medic, and Fang as a Commando.
Instructions
-
-
1
Cast Bravery and Haste on all three characters. This will allow them to do more physical damage and attack faster.
-
2
Summon Brynhildr. Vanille and Fang will run, but Long Gui's legs will collapse. The immobilized Long Gui will be unable to attack for 90 seconds.
-
-
3
Switch the party paradigms so Sazh is a Ravager, Vanille is a Saboteur and Fang is a Commando.
-
4
Use Cold Blooded repeatedly until the stagger gauge is full. Brynhildr will leave when her summon points (SP) meter is empty. Fang and Vanille will return.
-
5
Switch the party paradigms so Sazh and Vanille are Ravagers and Fang is a Commando.
-
6
Use the "Auto" command to attack until the stagger gauge is at the maximum 999.9 value.
-
7
Switch the party paradigms so all three characters are Commandos.
-
8
Use Blitz as often as possible. Sazh will fire six shots per attack, and all will hit due to Long Gui's immense size. Sazh will drain all of Long Gui's health with a few uses of Blitz.
