How Can I Know if a Person Is Offline or Invisible on Yahoo Messenger?

You can use Yahoo! Messenger to chat with other Yahoo! users, send files, photos, make a conference call and even share videos. It offers several features including invisible mode. This is a function that makes it appear as if you are offline even though you are online. If you want to see if your friends who appear offline are actually online, you can do so through "Doodle."

Instructions

1. Sign in to your Yahoo! Messenger account by typing in your username and password.

2. Double-click the invisible/offline contact. A chat window will display.

3. Click "IMVironment," "See All IMVironments."

4. Click "Yahoo! Tools," "Doodle." Doodle will show a blank page if the person is online but invisible. You still won't be able to chat with them until they release their invisible mode.
