Enable Web site visitors to see your Skype status and quickly contact you.

Many popular social Web sites like Facebook and Twitter provide the ability to embed their content in your Web sites so that you can share your status and activities with others in a centralized space. The Skype VOIP service also offers a Web site embedding feature, so you can show Web site visitors your current Skype status and allow them to call you by clicking a button. You can choose from a pre-made design to quickly add your status indicator to your Web site, or you can use Skype's wizard to make a custom design to your liking.

Instructions

  1. Configure Skype

    • 1

Click the "Tools" menu in the Skype interface, and then choose "Options." A new window appears.

    • 3

Select the "Allow my online status to be shown on the web" check box.

    • 4

Click the "Save" button in the bottom-right corner to commit your change and dismiss the window.
