It is important that your television has HDMI outputs to produce the best picture and sound experience possible.

Purchase an audio receiver that is capable of separating five channels of sound. Look for a high-end receiver designed with Dolby sound conversion built into it. Make sure the unit accepts HDMI inputs. This unit will be the heart of your system and will control the entire sound experience.

Purchase a five-speaker home theater system and a powered subwoofer with built-in amplifier that will reproduce bass sounds. Place the speakers in your space based on the chart in Reference 2. Speaker placement is critical to achieve the theater experience. You want to be immersed in the programming that you are watching. You want to be able to feel it come to life.
