How to Remove & Install a Computer Modem
An internal computer modem connects a computer to an online service provider through a telephone line that provides access to the Internet. A modem that is not making a good connection inside the computer can be removed and reinserted into the same slot without any risk of physical damage. The slot can be blown free of any dirt that may have caused the bad connection. You will need household tools to open the computer and to make the modem removable.
