How to Get Facebook Updates Like Email

Updates for Facebook are sent to the email account registered for your account.

Many Facebook users opt to receive updates via text messages on their mobile phones, but if your phone plan includes a limited number of texts or you do not have access to a phone, you can receive the updates via email. Email update notifications are available for different events, including when a friend tags you in a photo or when someone comments on your pictures.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Facebook account with the email address associated with your online account.

2. Click "Account" and then "Account Settings" in the drop-down menu.

3. Click the "Notifications" tab and review the available update notifications.

4. Check the boxes under the "Email" column for the notifications you want to receive. You can select to receive email updates for various updates, including new messages, friend requests and comments made to your posts.

5. Click "Save Changes."
