How to Get Full Elven Armor in "Oblivion"

Armor is apparel worn by your character for protection against enemy attacks in "Oblivion." Elven armor is fortified, light armor that is available after your character achieves a skill level above 15. A full set of armor includes a helmet, boots, cuirass, (covers torso) gauntlets (covers hands) and greaves (covers legs). Elven armor is attained by defeating foes who are wearing the armor, or by purchasing it from various weapon and armor vendors in the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Play several quests in the game to advance the story line and build your character's skill attributes. Fight creatures, monsters and human enemies that you encounter to gain experience in fighting, blocking, magic use and armor repair. Sleep in a bed to raise your character's skill level until you attain a level of at least 15.

    • 2

Press the action button on your Xbox 360 or PS3 game controller (click the left mouse button on PC) to loot enemy bodies after defeating them in battle. Many enemy bandits, goblins, mauraders and humans will be wearing elven armor that you can take from them. Press the action button again to place any elven armor they are wearing into your inventory.

Visit merchants in the game who sell armor, particularly Morvayin's Peacemakers in Anvil and Stonewall Shields in Imperial City. Mario Rufus specializes in light armor at The Best Defense in the Imperial City and is a reliable source to procure elven armor at level 15.

Tips & Warnings

  • Glass armor is the highest rated (non-enchanted) armor available in "Oblivion" and becomes available at level 20. The best odds of recovering Elven armor from defeated foes, or purchasing it from vendors is when your character is rated between levels 15 and 19.
