How to Install U-3 Launcher

SanDisk's U3 launcher presents a menu of options when you plug in your flash drive.

SanDisk's U3 Launchpad is a proprietary file launching program that comes preinstalled on compatible SanDisk U3 USB flash drives. It's possible to delete the launcher from a U3 drive, so you may find yourself needing to reinstall the U3 Launchpad if you find that it's missing from your flash drive. You can download the U3 Launchpad installer from the SanDisk website and use the installation file to configure the launcher on your USB drive.

• SanDisk U3 USB flash drive

Instructions

1. Connect your SanDisk U3 USB drive to one of your computer's USB ports.

2. Open your Web browser and navigate to the U3 Launchpad installer Web page, which is named "Installing U3 Launchpad." Follow instructions to click on the "Download" link to download the installation file.

3. Save the installation file to your hard drive, then run the file once it downloads.

4. Click "Next", then click the radio button next to "Accept" and click "Next" again.

5. Click the button next to "Yes" if you want to back up the data that is currently on your flash drive and then restore the data after U3 Launchpad installation. Click "No" if you'd prefer to delete all data on the drive.

6. Click "Next" twice. The installation program installs the U3 Launchpad system onto your USB flash drive.
