How to Place a Top Ten List Widget on Blogger

Widgets are small applications that can display fresh content on your blog and make it more appealing to visitors. Direct your browser and to Blogger.com and log in to your account using your Google account email address and password. Your Blogger dashboard will be displayed when the next page renders in your browser.

Click the "Design" link for the blog that will feature the top-10 list widget. The "Add and Arrange Page Elements" page will appear, allowing you to add the widget and change the layout of your blog.

Click the "Add a Gadget" link in the section of your page where you want the widget to display. For example, click the "Add a Gadget" link in the header if you want the widget to appear at the top of the page; click the link on the right or left side of the page if you want it to appear on the sidebar. A new window will open with a list of widgets.

Click in the "search for gadgets" field in the top right of the window and enter "top 10." A list of available "Top 10" widgets will appear.

Click the "+" sign next to any available widget to add it to your blog. A configuration page will appear. For example, you can add a widget that displays your top 10 blog followers.

Type a title into the "Title" field. The title displays above the widget on your blog page.

Specify the desired height of the widget, in pixels, by entering a value in the "Height" field. If you are satisfied with the current size, leave the default value.

Change any other options for the widget until you are satisfied with the overall look of the widget. Some widgets have other configurable options. Click "Save" to save the changes and add the widget to your blog.
