How to Get My Timex Watch Off of Military Time

Get your Timex watch off of military time with a few simple steps

You can set a Timex watch to 12-hour format or 24-hour format, otherwise known as military time. Most people find 12 hour format more convenient and practical as most people tell time using a.m. and p.m. You may find you have set your watch to military time and have a hard time getting it back to 12-hour format.

Instructions

1. Look at your Timex watch with the watch facing you right-side-up.

2. Locate the four buttons around the face of the watch. You will find two buttons on the right, and two on the left. You will see one button on the top and one on the bottom of each side.

3. Find the button on the bottom left from the face of the watch. This is the "Mode" button.

4. Press and hold the "Mode" button and do not release until you observe the time change from military time to 12-hour format.

5. Release the "Mode" button. You have now switched off of military time.

Tips & Warnings

• Make sure not to press any other buttons while you press and hold the "Mode" button.
