How to Add Images to a PDF

Although PDF documents are generally finished products, complete with locked images and fonts, PDF editing programs allow you to directly modify the content of the document. With a PDF editing program such as Adobe Acrobat Professional, Nitro PDF Professional and Foxit PDF Editor, you can easily add and modify the images to any page of the PDF file.

Instructions

Adobe Acrobat Professional X

1. Open the Adobe Acrobat Professional X program and load the PDF document by clicking on the "File" tab across the top of the page and choosing the "Open" option from the drop-down menu. Find your PDF file and click the "OK" button to load the document.

2. Click on the "Tools" tab across the top of the page, scroll over the "Content" option from the drop-down menu and select "Edit Object" from the slide-out menu.

3. Navigate the mouse over the area where you wish to add the image. Right-click on the area and select the "Place Image" option to open a browser window.

4. Find the image in the browser window and click on the "OK" button to add the image to the PDF document.

Nitro PDF Professional

1. Open the Nitro PDF Professional program and import the PDF document by clicking on the "File" tab across the top of the page and choosing the "Open" option from the drop-down menu. Find your PDF file and click the "OK" button to load the document.

2. Click on the "Insert and Edit" tab, scroll over the "Graphics" option from the drop-down menu and select the "Image" option from the slide-out menu.

3. Select the image from the browser window and click "Open" to import the image into the PDF document. To move the image to the correct position on the page, click on the image and drag it to the correct location. To resize the image, click on the corners of the image and drag them outwards to make the image larger or push the corners inwards to make the image smaller.

Foxit PDF Editor

1. Open the Foxit PDF Editor program and import the PDF document by clicking on the "File" tab across the top of the page and choosing the "Open" option from the drop-down menu. Find your PDF file and click the "OK" button to load the document.

2. Scroll to the page where you want to add the image.

3. Right-click on the page, scroll over the "Add Image" option and click on the "From File" option from the slide-out menu.
