How to Stop Verifications on Facebook

Facebook uses standard "Captcha" verifications to prevent programs and spammers from sending too many messages or friend requests to other users. These Captcha verifications sometimes appear in other activities, such as comments. Unfortunately, the amount of time you've had your account has no bearing on these verifications. However, you can turn them off by verifying your Facebook account. Two ways exist to verify your account. Adding a college or university that provides you with an email address to your Facebook account automatically verifies it. A mobile phone can also be used to verify your account.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your preferred Web browser and log-in to your Facebook account. Move about the site as usual until a Captcha appears, or click the Facebook "Request Code" link to start immediately.

    • 2

Click the "Verify" link below the Captcha if you didn't click the "Request Code" link. Select your country from the list provided and enter your mobile telephone number. Click "Confirm."

    • 3

Wait for the SMS text message to appear in your phone. Enter the code you received via SMS in the box provided in your browser window to finish verifying your account.
