How to Get .edu Links with SEO
If you are familiar with the basics of search engine optimization, you probably already know that your backlinks play a large role in pushing your site to the top. Backlinks are any link to your site from another page, and a large number of backlinks tells the search engines that your site is relevant and useful to readers. However, the quality of your backlinks is just as important as the number. If you want to see better results in ranking, try building some backlinks from websites that end in ".edu," as these sites are treated more favorably by search engine algorithms.

The only problem is that it's going to be too spammy, you know, the algorithms don't like links from spammy neighbourhoods, whatsmore, most of the links that do get posted are going to be "no follow" links that don't count.
