Spread out the bandana on a flat surface, such as a table. Hold one of the bandana's corners between your fingers. Fold the bandana over to match up that corner with the corner directly across from it.
-
2
Lift the bandana up from its two top corners. Hold it against your neck so that the third corner is pointing down on your chest. Wrap the two top corners around your neck and bring them out in front of you.

Cross the bandana's right side over the left side. Use the thumb and index finger on your left hand to hold the right side in place. Wrap the right side under your thumb and through the large hole near your neck.

4
Place the end coming through the hole between the thumb and index finger of your left hand. Take the left piece of bandana and wrap it behind the right piece, directly above your thumb and index finger. Release the end you are holding with your thumb and index finger and wrap the other piece over it. Put that piece between your thumb and index finger and pull it through the hole. Pull on the right piece to tighten the knot.

5
Lift the portion of bandana that is touching your neck over your nose. This is how cowboys wore their bandanas while they were riding horses.
