How to Connect an Android Phone to LEAP WiFi

Android phones have the ability to connect to Wi-Fi networks using the LEAP protocol. However, the phones cannot connect to these networks through the "Wireless & Networks" settings menu. The option was left out of Android's graphical user interface. You can get a third-party app to connect your Android phone to a LEAP network.

Instructions

    • 1

      Tap "Market."

    • 2

Enter "LEAP" in the search field and press "Enter."

    • 3

Tap "Leap Wi-Fi FREE." As of the date of publication, this is the only app available for the latest versions of the Android operating system.

    • 4

Tap "Download" and "OK" to confirm that you want to install the app.

    • 5

Tap the "Leap Wi-Fi FREE" icon when it finishes downloading.

    • 6

Enter the name of the LEAP network. Enter your username and password. Press "Save." You can now connect to the LEAP network.

Tips & Warnings

  • A paid version of the app also exists. The paid version has more configuration options than the free version.
