How to Export a Contact List on Gmail

Google Gmail lets you contain all of your email contacts into one list. This list is exportable through the Gmail interface. Gmail exports the contacts in a comma-delimited file, so you can import the contacts to another software program installed on the desktop. This is beneficial if you want to consolidate contacts from Gmail and another contact list into one location.

Open a Web browser on the desktop. Navigate to the Gmail homepage and log in to the Gmail account that contains your contacts.
