How to Draw an Alien Spaceship

How to Draw an Alien Spaceship thumbnail
Flying saucers are the most recognizable form alien space ships take in popular culture.

In popular culture, alien space ships usually take the form of flying saucers. Since there seem to have been no proven sightings of alien ships, there's no logical reason to believe that alien space ships are saucer-shaped. Yet as time goes on, this shape is increasingly popular and universally recognized.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw a vertically oriented oval; this is the body of the flying saucer. Make the oval as large as you wish the flying saucer to be.

    • 2

Draw a hump on top of the oval you drew in step 1, centered at the top of the oval. Make the hump about 1/3 as wide as the body of the flying saucer.

    • 3

Draw a horizontal line of evenly spaced circles from the right side of the oval to the left side of the oval; these are the windows of the flying saucer.

    • 4

Draw two stick-like legs protruding from the bottom of the saucer--one on the left side and one on the right.

    • 5

Draw a circle at the bottom of each leg to help support the saucer when it lands.

    • 6

Draw an outline around the saucer using a black marker. Thicken the lines of the legs with the marker.

Tips & Warnings

  • Color the flying saucer with crayons, markers or colored pencils. Add a black background with white circles to represent space.
