How to Justify Text in Blog Posts

Text justification makes slight changes to the distance between the words in a paragraph so that the left and right margins of the paragraph are perfectly vertical. Justified text can add a great deal of professionalism to the right blog or website layout. Most common blog editors have buttons that you can click to justify a block of highlighted text automatically. If your blog does not have this feature, you can force it to justify the text by adding an HTML tag to the source code for your post.

Instructions

    • 1

Use the mouse pointer to highlight the section of text that you want to justify.

    • 2

Click the "Align Full" or "Justify" button above the post editing screen. In most text editors, this button is shaped like several horizontal lines with justified left and right margins. If your blog does not have this button, continue to the next step.

    • 3

Access the HTML editor for your blog. In most cases, you can do this by clicking the "HTML" or "Edit HTML" tab above the blog editor.

    • 4

Click to place the cursor in the space immediately before the blog of text that you want to justify.

    • 5

Type "<div align="justify">" without the quotation marks.

    • 6

Click to place the cursor in the first space after the block of text.

    • 7

      Type "</div>" without quotation marks.

    • 8

Save or update the post to display the justified text.
