Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome can only interact by exporting and importing data.

Although web developers try to write code that can be viewed in any web browser, it's inevitable that some websites will work better in a specific browser. If you have lots of tabs open in one web browser that you'd prefer to view in a different browser then the easiest way to transfer the tabs is by importing the addresses from one browser to the other. Since Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome don't interface with each other, you'll need to save your open Firefox tabs to a bookmark file and then import the file into your Chrome bookmarks.

Instructions

    • 1

      Run the Firefox web browser.

    • 2

Open each web address that you wish to transfer to Chrome in a Firefox tab.

    • 3

Hold CTRL and SHIFT and press the D key to open an Add Bookmarks window.

    • 4

Type a name for your new tabs folder in the "Name" field and click "Add Bookmarks" to save the tabs to your Firefox bookmarks.

    • 5

Hold CTRL and SHIFT and press the B key to open the Organize Bookmarks window.

    • 6

Click the "Import and Backup" button and click "Export HTML." Navigate to the folder that you'd like to save your Firefox bookmarks to and click the "Save" button.

    • 7

Exit Firefox and run the Google Chrome web browser.

    • 8

Click the wrench icon in the upper-right of the program window and click "Bookmark Manager."

    • 9

Click the "Organize" drop down menu and click "Import bookmarks" to open a file browser window.

    • 10

Navigate to the folder that you saved your Firefox bookmarks in and double-click the bookmarks.html file to import the bookmarks into Chrome.

    • 11

Right-click the folder in the left side of the Bookmark Manager window that contains your bookmarked tabs and click "Open all bookmarks in a new window." Your Firefox tabs will open in a Google Chrome window.
