How to Put a Background on Firefox

Customize Firefox's background theme.

Mozilla Firefox allows you to customize the appearance of the browser. You can drastically alter its appearance by installing and using a theme. If you wish to change just the background image and colors, install a persona. If you wish to return to the original appearance of the browser, you may do so using the Tools menu for either a persona or a theme.

Instructions

Download Themes

1. Open your browser, and go to the "Add-ons" Web page of Mozilla Firefox's website.

2. Click on "Themes" on the left-hand menu.

3. Select a theme from the list. Use the "Next" button at the bottom of each Web page to navigate to the next page of themes.

4. Click on the theme you wish to install.

5. Click on "Add to Firefox."

6. Click on "Install Now."

7. Click on "Restart Firefox" to complete the installation.

Use a Theme

1. Open your Firefox browser, and click on "Tools" on the menu.

2. Click on "Add-ons" and select "Themes."

3. Click on the theme you wish to apply to your browser. Click "Use Theme."

Download Personas

1. Start your browser. Go to Mozilla Firefox's website, and click on "Add-ons."

2. Click on "Personas" from the left-hand menu.

3. Click on "Add to Firefox," and click then click "Install Now."

4. Wait for the download to finish, and then click "Restart Firefox."

Use a Persona

1. Start your Firefox browser, and go to the "Personas Gallery" on the Firefox website.

2. Select the persona you wish to use, and click on it.

3. Click on "Wear This Persona."
