How to Get Facebook on Android

Get Facebook on your Android smartphone.

The basic functions are all the same for all Android smartphones, including accessing Facebook from your device. While you can access Facebook's mobile home page from the "Browser" on your Android smartphone, you may want to install the "Facebook" application from the Android Market to have better access to your account. The app is available for free and will provide more functionality than the Facebook mobile website, including access to Facebook Chat.

Instructions

1. Turn on and unlock your Android smartphone.

2. Tap the "Market" icon on your Android smartphone touchscreen.

3. Search the Android Market for "Facebook." Tap the "Facebook" app that appears in the search results.

4. Tap the "Install" button at the bottom of your Android touchscreen. The Facebook app will download and install to your smartphone.

5. Open the Facebook app from the "Applications" tab on your Android home screen.
