Frigidaire Gallery and Professional Series Cleaning Instructions

Frigidaire sells and markets domestic appliances for the kitchen and laundry room. Matching equipment includes cook tops, wall ovens, ranges and stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, freezers, washers and dryers. Many of the appliances feature a stainless-steel exterior finish. The interiors often have specific instructions for cleaning.

Things You'll Need

  • Cloth
  • Air filter
  • Cooking oil
  • Sponge
  • Warm water
  • Mild detergent
  • Baking soda
  • Bleach
  • Ammonia
  • Set the oven to self clean. Remove the oven racks, and set the oven controller to the “Clean” position. Choose either a cleaning level or cleaning time. Levels include “Light,” “Medium” or “Heavy Soil.” Three hours is recommended by Frigidaire for a medium soil. Select “Start.”

  • Clean cast iron grates from the stove top by washing them in the dishwasher. Then coat them with cooking oil and bake in the oven at 350-degrees for 10 minutes. Use ammonia on the burner components. This will stop the gas holes from getting blocked.

  • Wipe the inside of the refrigerator and clean the shelves with warm, soapy water. Then, dry them well. Check for an air filter if the refrigerator smells. Replace the filter every six months. Clean the inside of the freezer with a sponge, warm water and baking soda. Baking soda will reduce odors. Cover food tightly if the freezer still smells.

  • Clean the top and sides of the washer and dryer with a damp cloth or mild detergent and water. Don’t use grit-based cleaners. Use diluted bleach to remove interior stains. A mixture of a 1/2-cup of bleach to 1 quart of water should work. Leave the lid or door open to avoid smells.
