How to Make Krusteaz Pancakes

Save

Pancakes have been made for hundreds of years from mixes of milk, flour and eggs in various forms. Krusteaz is a product brand manufactured by the Continental Mills company. Their pancake mixes are available in a variety of flavors including apple spice, chocolate chip, oat bran, blueberry, wheat and honey, and classic buttermilk. They also produce reduced fat and fat free versions. Although the flavors may vary, the preparation method remains the same.

Things You'll Need

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cup
  • Krusteaz pancake mix
  • Water
  • Spoon
  • Griddle
  • Cooking spray
  • Spatula
  • Maple syrup
  • Measure 1 cup of Krusteaz pancake mix and place into a large mixing bowl.

  • Measure 3/4 cup of water and pour into mixing bowl with pancake mix. Use a spoon to mix batter until well combined. According to the Krusteaz brand, the batter will be slightly lumpy.

  • Preheat your griddle to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray griddle with cooking spray to keep pancakes from sticking.

  • Pour pancake batter onto the griddle in 1/4 cup portions to form your pancakes. Cook pancakes on each side until golden brown. This generally takes 1 to 1 1/4 minutes on each side. Pancakes will start to bubble and lift around the edges when ready to flip. Flip using a large spatula to cook both sides.

  • Remove cooked pancakes from the griddle using the spatula and serve immediately. You can serve plain or with maple syrup.
