Adobe Fireworks is a vector graphics editor designed for the rapid creation of stand-alone graphics and website templates. Though its design interface does make it possible to create rich and complex graphics from scratch, it is oriented more toward graphical design centered around the use of regular lines and polygons than its sister software, Adobe Photoshop. As such, the creation of a simple shape like a triangle in Fireworks becomes a matter of a few mouse clicks.
Create a new document in Adobe Fireworks.
Select the "Polygon" tool from the main toolbar on the left side of the screen. Enter a value of three in the "Sides" box of the "Properties" interface at the bottom of the screen.
Click and drag anywhere on your canvas to create a triangle. Fireworks will create a new path object in your layer that you can transform however you please.
